Alejandro Safdie joined Quona Capital in 2023 as an Investment Associate focused on Latin America. He is focused on deal sourcing, evaluating and diligencing investment opportunities, and supporting portfolio companies as they scale up their businesses.
Prior to Quona, Alejandro spent his entire professional career in the Fintech space. He was involved in the operations and product management of both start-ups and scale-ups. He started his career as employee number 1 of the first asset-backed digital lender in Argentina—building the product from scratch alongside the founders—and then transitioned into implementing a digital lending-as-a-service solution in major banks in Argentina and Mexico, and professionalized product strategy and implementation at a major regional crypto exchange in Latin America.
Alejandro holds an MBA from The Wharton School and an M.A. in International Studies from The Lauder Institute (both part of the University of Pennsylvania), as well as a Magna Cum Laude Bachelors of Science in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina.
